We have been out of town and I'm not yet back in the blog groove. I do want to join Deb at Breathing in Grace to share a few pictures though.
I know there are many more beautiful spots around our country boasting gorgeous fall colors and these cannot compare, but just being in my home town and seeing the colors there fed my soul this weekend. Since I am the driver, it's a little difficult to take photos, especially with your phone! Haha! My sister and I drove around her neighborhood for me to see and enjoy a little of Fall.
Looks like the wind had its way with these trees.
One of the things we did while in Tulsa was to visit a brand new park called The Gathering Place. It is off Riverside Drive in Tulsa, across from the Arkansas River. Here is a link describing it much better than I could. It is a huge park funded by a long list of private parties (one of whom I went to school with), and in particular The Kaiser Foundation whose vision was to have a park for everyone --to engage, educate and excite! And it is free! From nice restaurants to ice cream carts and food trucks in the park. It was perfectly lovely and I wish I could have taken better photos and wish we had been able to cover more of the park than we did in the hour or so we were there. Loads of fun and unique things for kids!

Beautiful fall photos! I'm so glad you got to get away and have a little vacation back "home" in your hometown. That is always a blessing, I would think. I don't have anyone living in my hometown anymore, so no reason to go there, although it is just a little over an hour away. Looks like you had a wonderful, relaxing time. Thank you for sharing it with us!!
Wonderful Autumn photos Nonnie. Looks like a great park too. I also like to ride around the neighborhood with my sister who does the driving as I don't anymore. Always a lot of fun. Have a lovely day my friend.
Great shots of autumn colors
You don't normally think of Oklahoma having pretty colored fall leaves, but your pictures are beautiful. That park looks like so much fun for all ages. It is always good to be with family and back in your home town. So glad DH is feeling like doing some fun trips like that. Have a good weekend. I will be in Dallas a few days next week, so I will touch base with you once I get there and see what's going on.
Nonnie, Great photos. It does look like fall there. So many trees have lost all their leaves here. I bet it did you good to see your brother and SIL. We love our families. Blessings to all, xoxo, Susie
That park sounds lovely. I love all the tree photos too. Thank you for sharing your photos.
I thought you were missing for awhile. Hope you had a nice vacation I enjoyed looking at your photos. Fall is my very favorite season. We don't get those vibrant colors here in the south that the north east gets. I think it must need more cold. Love, sandie
What a nice get-away!! Your photos are great and that park looks amazing. Welcome back!
Fall is so beautiful. I'm glad you were able to capture some of it for us to share.
That park looks like fun, you could spend many pleasant hours there. I love the autumn colours, some are more brilliant than others but all are beautiful in their own way.
