On Eagle's Wings

On Eagle's Wings
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

A Moving Hodgepodge

1. What would you say is the best and worst thing about moving to a new house?

Best: A nice, new clean house with fresh paint, carpet, rooms to explore and decorate.
Worst: moving out and moving in. It's a lot of hard work! It wears me out just thinking about the chaos when we last moved.

2. What's moved you recently?

I wept as a dear friend related to me by phone the shocking behavior of her stepmom toward her. It was heartbreaking to hear her tell about it through her tears and gasping for breath. All I could do for her was listen, encourage, and pray with her.
Also, our youngest grandson's love for his cousins and the tears he cried over wanting to have a framed picture of them to have in his room at home. This problem was more easily resolved.

3. Do you feel your life is moving forward, backward, or is on hold? How so?

Life is always moving forward, whether we believe it or not. But at the moment, it's kind of on hold as we wait for more information to make decisions about what moves to make in certain areas of our life. I cannot explain.

4. On the move, move mountains, get a move on, it's your move, or bust a move...which phrase best applies to some aspect of your life right now? Explain.

Move mountains. There are obstacles that seem like mountains, but praying they will either move or we will get over them.

5. What song makes you want to get up and move?

I Heard It Through the Grapevine by Marvin Gaye.

6. Your favorite snack to grab when you're 'on the move'?

My homemade trail mix, almonds, walnuts, pecans, pumpkin seeds, raisins, dark chocolate chips. I especially liked it this summer when the chocolate chips melted and brought the mix to clusters! Oh delicious! My own homemade, nutty candy bars in a zip lock bag!

7. What one accessory makes your house feel like home?

Is a bed an accessory or a necessity? I think necessity, so area rugs might make it feel like home to me or pictures on the walls.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

Very thankful this morning that my cataract surgery went well and I am already seeing the change in my close-up vision. Praise the Lord!

Remember this from typing class? Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country. Now is our time to pray for our country.

Pray. Vote. Pray.

I jumped right to the random, hoping to see that your surgery was a success and I wasn't disappointed! So happy for you!

Yes, I remember that from typing class and your slight change is exactly what we need. I enjoyed reading your Hodgepodge answers today. Praying for you that your #3 decisions will be made through your faith and with heart.

I'm so glad to hear your surgery went well. My sister had it not long ago and she couldn't believe the improvement. Your trail mix sounds so good. I do hope those mountains that need moving move. Take care.

I am so glad that your surgery went well and that your vision is improving. That is wonderful!

Your trail mix sounds very yummy. :)

I like "I Heard it Through the Grapevine", too.

I am so sorry that your friend has endured such hurt. :( I think that it is sweet that your grandson wanted a framed photo of his cousins. It sounds like this child has an appreciation of his family and that is great!

Thinking of all the things involved with moving wears me out, too. :)

Have a blessed day!

Life is always moving forward whether we like it or not, it's true. Good thing we have good music like, "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" to keep a smile on our faces. :)

Indeed, now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country -- with prayer!

And speaking of prayer, I whispered one for you as I read you have decisions to make.

Visiting you today from the Hodgepodge.
