On Eagle's Wings

On Eagle's Wings
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

Friday Foto Friends

Another Friday already and time for Friday Foto Friends with Deb at Breathing in Grace!

Thanks to family, I have photos to share. This summer has not been one for trips for DH and me, but I have been enjoying photos from others.

Our oldest grandson, who is 11, has been in Valencia, Spain for the past month just eating up the culture, Spanish food, making friends, learning Spanish, and more about soccer. From the looks of the photos, I think mostly, he has simply been enjoying life in Spain.

How does he do that?

This is the couple who is hosting our grandson.
Nacho is a soccer player who stayed with our daughter and family
while he was in the states.
He and his wife are doing all they can to become citizens
through the legal processes.

His Dad is meeting him in London today where they will stay for a few days before returning back home. Can't wait until he returns and we hear all about it! He will have many tales to tell!

From other friends' trips:

Yellowstone

Peace

Devil's Churn

Grand Canyon

The above photos are beautiful and were taken by a young couple I know who take a month off every year to give themselves and their four children an adventure somewhere in America. This year they did a western tour up through Colorado to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, over to Washington, Oregon, down to the Redwoods in California and to the Grand Canyon, along with many other stops! They are quite brave in my opinion taking their small children on these trips, the youngest in diapers, but such memories they are making!

I am so impressed that at age 11 he got to stay in Spa in a whole month. That really is incredible. I am jealous. Looked like he had a great time. I know you will be so excited when he gets home. sandie

Your grandson is so blessed to be able to do this at the age of 11. What a tremendous blessing. And then to get to spend some time in London afterward...well, he will indeed have a lot to share with you!

The other fotos are breathtaking in their own right! Hasn't God given us much to enjoy in His beautiful creaton?

Both trips seen through amazing eyes!! How fun to travel with them while sitting here in my chair. Thanks for sharing!! How blessed is that young family to have the time and the money to travel like that and make wonderful memories! Your grandson will hold his memories of Spain in his heart for the rest of his life. Just great!

The photos are great. I have and 11 year old grandson as well, who just got back from a bicycle tour in Ireland. So happy to see young people be able to travel and see the world.

Wow, such wonderful pictures from all over the world! I love that your grandson is having such a marvelous adventure at such a young age! He may become a world traveler/missionary someday! Love the pictures from the western/Yellowstone, etc., trip. That sounds like a real adventure with all the children. Would love to see all of that someday...but I don't see it in my future. So I will enjoy your pictures like you do!! Thank you for a post full of adventure today.

Such lovely photos. Your grandson is so lucky. What a great experience. Yellowstone looks beautiful. We are in Montana right now but don't have time for Yellowstone. I do plan on seeing the Grand Canyon again one of these days since Mark is retired and we are not that far away from it!
Have a great weekend.
