On Eagle's Wings

On Eagle's Wings
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

Thankful Throwback Thursday

They left us way too soon, however the riches they left us cannot be measured in dollars and cents. Thank you, God, for the parents you blessed us with. Our lives are better because of the covenant they made on June 21, 1948. We thank you both for your love and faithfulness to each other and to us.

What a beautiful couple your parents were and what a legacy of love they left for you and your siblings. Such a sweet tribute, Nonnie, and Happy Anniversary to them.

Nonnie, I love these pictures of your parents. They sound like they were so kind. I like how tall and lanky your father looks next to your mom in her long dress. So sweet. You children look like fine people too. Blessings to all of you, xoxo, Susie

Happy 70th anniversary to your parents!! I truly believe that a long and committed marriage is a priceless legacy to one's children. (My parents celebrated their 59th in May, and my in-laws celebrated their 65th, which, sadly will be their last, as my beloved mother-in-law passed away 10 days later.) The in-laws of a very dear friend will celebrate their 75th in August!!

Those are lovely photos, and, wow, is your dad tall!

Blessings,
Patti

Love your tribute to your parents...they look like such a wonderful couple. You were blessed. Is the last picture of you and your siblings? The ages wouldn't match up to be your parents, I'm thinking...but they look like they look like your parents!!

Wonderful that your parents were such a blessing. I was just looking at pics of my parents from the 1940's. I miss them.

Those pictures are really beautiful! Either your dad was very tall or your mom was very short! Looking back and recognizing our foundation is always fun and sometimes humbling! You were blessed!!

I was thinking about Terri's comment - your dad has to be tall or your mom short. Such a cute couple. Was that her wedding dress? I am so glad you had such special parents.
