1. Last thing you said yes to? I made new commitments at church under the new guidelines for social distancing, etc. Did you regret it? The only regret now is when other things pop up unexpectedly in conflict. It doesn't seem right to try to wiggle out of either one.
2. No big deal, no contest, no dice, no hard feelings, no ifs ands or buts, no kidding, no offense, no pain no gain, no way...choose one and tell us how it applies to your life currently. Either way, I guess no hard feelings, I hope, in whatever choice I make in the above conflict. Praying it will resolve itself.
3. Thursday June 11th is National Making Life Beautiful Day...in this strange season how are you adding beauty to your days/life? I have been enjoying the early morning walks with my dog, planting flowers, cleaning the patio, reading through the New Testament in 90 days for the summer before Bible Study Fellowship begins in the Fall. Enjoying the sunsets each day, being with friends, cooking meals and other simple pleasures. I happened onto an old BBC series called Where the Heart Is to watch in the afternoons, and I have two books going on now. Book club meets Friday to discuss Where the Crawdad Sings. That should be interesting.
4. According to an article found here, these six foods taste better in June than at any other time of the year-strawberries, asparagus, peas, peaches, beets, and garlic. How many of these have you tasted so far this month? Strawberries aplenty. Anything on the list you'd say 'no thank you' to trying? Rearrange the list starting with your favorite (1) to your least favorite (6). Strawberries, peas, garlic, asparagus, peaches and beets. They are all okay--just don't have the asparagus, peaches and beets that often.
5. Describe your current mood in three words. A little anxious.
6. Insert your own random thought here. Jason needed me to watch Jack for a few hours on Tuesday, so we went to visit Brady and Noah. It was fun; we played pool, swam in the pool and had Chick-fil-A. It was a good day. Jack was disappointed that he couldn’t stay the night, but he was OK with it in the end. Sweet boys. They were playing Marco Polo in the pool, which explains the strange blindfold under the goggles.

It is lovely to be able to have visitors again. It looks delightfully sunny there, so lots of fun in the pool.
Hope you have a lovely week and are able to resolve all your commitments. I think it will take a while to get back into things again. I am trying not to say yes to too many things so we can ease in slowly.
My, how your boys are growing up. I'm glad you had that time with them. It sounds like your days are full and they really sound enjoyable, although I say that knowing its a new kind of enjoyment for you. I will join you in praying that your possible commitment conflicts will be resolved before they happen, or God will give you discernment about what to do.
Your days sound lovely. The boys look like they had a lot of fun. I never saw anyone wear a blindfold for Marco Polo. Good idea because it is so hard not to peek when you have your eyes shut ;)
Happy to hear that you are getting together with friends and family. I am looking forward to that, hopefully soon.
An actual blindfold for Marco Polo?
Nonnie, I know being with those grandkids did you a world of good. I sure miss mine. Blessings to you, I think of you pray you are well. xoxo, Susie
Actually nothing is too strange in 2020 : ) I hope your issue is resolved in a way that brings you peace of mind.
Wonderful post. Sounds like God is really blessing you and taking good care of you. So happy you can be with the kids again and enjoy spending time with them. That is a real blessing.
It is so great that you can see the kiddos and visit with friends again! We are slowly getting back to some form of new normal here. Our church resumes this Sunday with new restrictions about social distancing and masks. We will comply just so we can worship together again. This was another fun Hodgepodge!!
Love the blindfold and swim goggles combination :)
I got a nice laugh from the blindfold photo! What fun they are having.
Wow, these boys (and everyone else's kiddos) seem to be growing up so fast! I'm glad you got to enjoy a fun evening with them. That's good medicine right there!
You certainly are working hard at making your life beautiful. Anxious, I can relate to that!
You look like you are having a nice time with the kids! I can understand feeling a little anxious for lots of reasons - staying busy is a good antidote for that. Take care and hugs. sandie
