On Eagle's Wings

On Eagle's Wings
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

One-on-One with Jack

Jack spent several days with us this past week and we had a blast! First thing he wants when he steps in the door at our house is Nonnie's chocolate chip "cookies!" He knows where to find them and the request is always one frozen and microwave the other!

Went to Chuck E. Cheese and played non-stop running around like crazy to play every game.
I finally got to sit down while he did the dance with the mouse!

Grandpa can play catch with Jack from his Lazy-Boy so that works out for the two of them. When Jack doesn't catch the ball or drops it, Grandpa's standard remark we've heard a million times is, "You couldn't catch a cold!" That irritates Jack so much that I finally said, "every time Grandpa says that, I will blow the whistle and penalize him a quarter." Jack got a lot of quarters on this day. Funny thing is his mom told me she overheard Jack say that to his friend when they were playing catch one day. Haha!

Running around in the rain!

He still likes Candyland.

And we read this book together.

We had a great time.
Ice cream, and cookies and pizza, oh my.
Mexican food and pancakes!

One evening Grandpa called us outside to see the deer behind our fence. Jack ran around trying to find his phone so he could take a picture. Finally, after a mad rush upstairs and down a few times, we found it in the bottom of his bag. So outside he went and I reminded him, quietly, be a stealth, don't scare the deer away. I waited inside doing other things … Jack came in crying his eyes out! The deer ran away … Annie barked and scared him. He was so sad as I tried to console him and nothing would. It didn't help to say that his dog would have done the same as Annie. So, I gave up and said, "Who wants ice cream?"

Tears dry up quickly as ice cream is mentioned and the deer episode was forgotten.

You gotta love a wild and crazy kid like this one!

And Annie???

This dog is on the lookout for the big bad boats out on the lake!
(Those two white specks are boats or jet skis.)

Trudy used to sit at the window scoping out bunnies

Some things never change.

YIPPEE I CAN LEAVE A COMMENT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thank you so much - unless you like the other one better I appreciate that so much.

I am glad you spent time with Jack - Andy used to play in the water like that and at Chuck E. Cheese.
