After spending another nerve wracking afternoon at the ER on Friday, they finally were able to stop the nosebleeds for DH and we went home thankfully ... and me praying that they would cease and desist. Too many things going on that we didn't want to miss out on. Like this, for instance:
This boy had his bag packed with everything he needed, along with four baseball caps, each one of which has a special meaning for him. The one he chose to wear was his "happy hat!"
Sweet kids staying with us this weekend so Mommy and Daddy can have an evening of Christmas fun with Dad's firefighter buddies.
What a good-looking twosome!
So, off we go with the kiddos to The Gift of Christmas, with fingers crossed that Jack would be able to make it through the two hours. While we waited in the lobby of the church, Jack noticed the bookstore and asked if we could go inside. He browsed through all the books and look what he picked out for himself! A Bible.
"I can read this!"
And read he did, while we waited. So proud of him.
Also in the lobby or foyer of the church!
This is one of my favorite parts of the performance. You can't tell, but the arch of white is actually a circle telling in images the story of Christmas while Michael Neale sings Come That Close Again, which is a powerful song! The gifts and talents in this church are truly amazing!
Wise Men come to worship.
A little silliness in the morning.
All I want for Christmas!
If these kids ever give up their love for stuffed animals, they can open up a shop and make a lot of money!
And Jack got second place in the jui jitsu tournament!

Nonnie, I am keeping DH and you in my prayers. How scary for you. So thankful that the children got to enjoy time with you both. Congratulations to Jack. He is a wonderful kid. I am sure his sister is too. The dog looks comfy with her. Blessings to all of you. xoxo, Susie
First off, Congrats to Jack!! I am so sorry your hubby had to go through that. It is terrible when those nosebleeds just won't quit. I have on grandgirl that gets nosebleeds as did her mom before her.
Love seeing all the pictures of hubby and the grandkids.
I hope you have a great week, Connie. xo Diana
what a beautiful family!! I'm glad your hubby si feeling better, that must have been scary!
Beautiful family and so busy as usual!!! I hope your husband is better with his nosebleeds. That has to be scary. Love, sandie
Those two are so cute!! The performance at the church looks HUGE!! Wow! How nice that Jack picked out a Bible. I am happy to read that your DH's nosebleeds have stopped and I hope they remain that way!
The first picture of Jack looking up at his granddad is my favorite. So glad a solution was found for the nose bleeds. That could be very scary. We haven't been to the Prestonwood program in several years even though our youngest granddaughter was in it. This is the first year she's missed. I can understand why the bookstore was a draw for Jack. It also draws me. So enjoyed all of this post.
Love these photos of your sweet kiddos. Looks like a full weekend making happy memories. Glad your hubby's issues were also resolved. Thankful for answered prayers.
Nose bleeds can certainly be frightening! I'm glad things have settled down for DH. Cute kid photos! The Christmas program looks like it was magical!
Glad they got the nose bleed to stop. Looks like you had a fun time and that show looked like it was amazing.
