I've done my best to take pics reflecting the progression
of the lake rising behind our house.
For the past three years, we have experienced drought in this area.
Our view was shrinking down to something resembling a puddle
rather than a nice cove in a huge lake.
All of this is now under water.
Above is a comparison of our yard from the
end of April this year to a couple of days ago.
No rain Saturday afternoon,
but the water continues to creep closer.
but the water continues to creep closer.
And so do the kayaks
The marina
Another park in our area
Ironically, the park is named Hidden Cove!
It almost is!
The sun is shy during the day giving way to the storms,
but comes out at night to show off!!!

God has blessed you with beautiful views, with an eye to see His hand at work, and with words and photographic artistry to share it with us so we all can be blessed, to His glory!
May you have a blessed week in Him,
Laurie
OH MY GOSH!!! That is just awful. I am so sorry that you are having to deal with all those water issues. That is just plain sad. I hope it recedes quickly- xo Diana
Wow! I've been watching the news about Texas flooding and feeling so bad for those involved and hurt by this. California needs rain so bad and you are drowning in it...funny how life works. I do hope it recedes and you are OK. Congrats on your son's baptism....I missed this post! Looks like it was a wonderful, spiritual moment for all! (with a few little chuckles mixed in!)
