On Eagle's Wings

On Eagle's Wings
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

Kate

This precious, darling, precocious little girl is 5 years old today.
I can hardly believe it as it seems only yesterday that
she surprised us all by making her entrance into this world
two months before she was supposed to!
That girl!
Although we were all sad that she didn't get to come home with Mommy and Daddy
for a couple of months, we all watched her progression from 3 lb 6 oz into
the weight necessary for her to leave the NICU.

Angel Face

She loves Grandpa.

Kate also likes to draw and below is a drawing of a dinosaur,
which I put on the fridge. She arranged
some of the magnets around it.

Last Friday Kate and I went to the mall - just Kate and I, mind you, because, as Kate says:
"Grandpa doesn't like the M-A-L-L Mall!"

We had a fun time. She played,
had Dipping Dots, we shopped for shoes, rode the carousel AND
the escalator (up and down) AND the Nascar,
Nordstrom's gave her a balloon to play with (punch)
all the way home!

(Nonnie was put in charge of the balloon while Kate rode on said rides.
I was informed that she "would be very disappointed if you let go of the balloon, Nonnie.")

I just had a feeling that her brother Jack would be wanting a balloon, too,
so we stopped by the Dollar Tree on the way home for more balloons.

for Jack

for Kate
(Kate gave the pink one to Mommy.)

Today was the big party.

Kate likes to dress up in her princess outfit.
She asked her Mommy if she looked like a real princess and
Mommy told her yes, she IS a real princess because
she is a child of the King, and that makes her a real princess.

Oh, my goodness, don't they grow up quickly!? How precious is she with her princess crown and earrings??? And I love how she told you she would be very disappointed if anything happened to that balloon!
