On Eagle's Wings

On Eagle's Wings
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

Monday

It was a fairly quiet weekend, our only activities being routine,  such as church, resting up, doing a few things around the house, and the grocery store.

Saturday morning I sat outside to drink my coffee, listen to some wonderful praise and worship music, and enjoyed a beautiful sunrise. Sunsets are usually what I have a chance to take pictures of, but Saturday morning was gorgeous.

Things should liven up a bit tonight as we are expecting overnight guests.

Kate and Jack are still with Nana in the country. And Nana says "what happens in the country, stays in the country!" I think Mama might be a little anxious about what is happening there.

Cousin Ty is showing out!

So young!
My sister and her husband celebrated 40 years of marriage yesterday!
I remember the day of her wedding very well. She looked beautiful, but I have to tell you, the wedding was at her sister-in-law's home, the AC was broken and it was HOT, HOT, HOT!!!
She handled the situation much better than I would have. I suppose your wedding day is a day to just be happy and thankful, no matter what!

And that's all I have on this Monday evening.

Happy Anniversary to your sister and BIL. I hope Kate and Jack play safe. I like early mornings on the porch . I went out this morning myself. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Happy anniversary to your sis and her hubby. Had to chuckle at your comment about what happens in the country...those ATVs look like so much fun!

WOW...what a beautiful sunrise you saw on Saturday morning. Aren't those weekends nice that are just routine things getting done? I have to say your overnight guests look adorable and like they could liven things up a bit.

I hope I am back to blogging and visiting again on a regular basis for a very long time! It is good to visit here and catch up a bit.
