On Eagle's Wings

On Eagle's Wings
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

Pink Saturday

Happy Saturday ... Pink Saturday, that is. Come join Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for some pink!

Love the pinks of the morning.

Pink? or Purple?

A dash of pink in the midst of yellows and green

So, yesterday all I wanted to do was find a photo of my mother-in-law for a Happy Birthday post about her. And what do you think?! As usual, in sticking my head in the closet filled with photos, I become fascinated looking at photos, old clippings, and other sentimental items and decide to organize ALL the loose ones I found in bags, as well as the ones in old photo albums with pages torn, falling out and photos glued or taped to the fragile pages. Aaauuuugggghhhh!

See what I 'm talking about?

Putting in new albums

These are not photos of my family, but from DH's. It seems I have spent many hours this summer living in the past, but I really love looking at old photos! Even if I don't know all the people. And in trying to get DH to help me, I find that he doesn't know them all either. Oh well, he will enjoy looking at these pics when I'm finished with the project and, hopefully, his kids will too. Hopefully, this project will be finished tomorrow as I am reminded of a box upstairs filled with more loose pictures! And on to the next photo project!

Happy Saturday!

Enjoyed your pictures, the pink in that morning sky was beautiful. I know what you mean about getting into your pictures, hard to look for just one photo because you have to stop and look at all the photos!!

Hi Nonnie, Loved your pretty photos. I feel your problem with organizing family photos. I don't think I will ever get that job done with my stacks of photographs. It is overwhelming. Kudos to you my friend.

Hugs, Jeanne

I also love old photos, but have been scanning them rather than putting into albums. I'm not sure why because no one will ever look at them. Preservation I guess. But I loved your photos of the old photos and admire your determination to restore them.

My photo books look the same...and I started to redo them, but I sure hate messing with the old photos and I leave them the way they were...smiles.

I love to look and study old photos. Not just the people, but how they dress and their surroundings. Those old photos in the old black photo books are treasures but they sure can be fragile. Enjoy your memories.

Beautiful pinks and we have been scanning old photos and then getting rid of them. My dad and I went through so many before he died and we wrote on the backs who the people were. Sure appreciate now that we did that.

HPS!! Old family photos are the best! I don't have any of my family, but I recall looking at them when I was little and totally being enthralled by them.

Hope you've had a great PS weekend!!!

It's so easy to get lost in old photos. I've scanned the biggest portion of mine on to our computer for safe keeping. Happy new week!
