On Eagle's Wings

On Eagle's Wings
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

Yep!! This is where I'm headed today! So excited. I think 9,000 ladies will be there and there are 1,000 seats left if you are in the Texas area and want to go!

This has been a full week. We wrapped up Bible Study Fellowship yesterday with share day and a fellowship after. So many great testimonies from the ladies for what the Lord has taught them this year through our study of the Book of Revelation. So many things to think about what we learned and how much God has in store for us!

On Monday I had lunch with my buddies from waaaayyy back when I first came to Dallas and we worked together for many years and saw each other through good times, hard times, struggles, crazy times and laughs. We meet three times a year for our birthdays. Although this past year we began a "no gifts" policy for birthdays, Sherri broke the rule and brought a gift!!! A Willow Tree three friends together. (The little guy with the guitar is a music box my mom gave me, and the swans are from the Cotswolds in England.)

So now I have this treasure with my other little Willow Tree figurines from friends. As I enjoyed it this week, it dawned on me that maybe our new gift policy should be to share this delightful gift. I was recalling how many years ago, on our wedding anniversaries, we had a Happy Anniversary card which we would sign and pass around to each other on our respective anniversaries. I thought maybe it would be a good idea to take turns with the figurines. So after texting Sherri for her approval, she told me that had been her thought when she purchased it! Great minds! Right?

It's going to be a super week-end, filled with worship, learning, fun, fellowship, food, friends and sleepover for two nights in Cowtown!!

Linking up early with Debbie at Breathing in Grace!
