On Eagle's Wings

On Eagle's Wings
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

Jack! Pure Delight.

I love this boy! He is truly a joy!

He is the air hockey champ at our house.
Always making funny faces in the car.
The one in the right corner is his "bored" face.

Mastering the hang of the Hula Hoop

He stayed with us yesterday and spent the night. It was too cold to play in the park or our back yard because of the wind. However, the front of our house was sunny and the wind was blocked somewhat, so we shot a few baskets before getting ready for church. He really worked Grandpa and me. He has some smooth moves in passing the basketball and he is quite the natural athlete even if he's not yet tall enough to hit the hoops. He will be one day. His dad is 6'7".

We talked a lot about summer and when will it ever get here. I reminded him that it would be spring the next day.

After church, as we came in from the driveway, he spotted a box in the garage containing a large plastic swimming pool. His eyes lit up with such excitement!

"Nonnie! We can swim tomorrow!"

"Are you kidding me? No way, Jose. It's going to be 39 degrees tomorrow. We can't go swimming."

"But you said it will be Spring?"

Oh, the faith of a child.

On Sunday morning as we were getting ready to take him home to go to church with his family, we talked about this being Palm Sunday and how the people cried Hosanna to the Lord as Jesus came into town riding on the donkey. We cried Hosanna, Hosanna!! Save us! Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord.

Nonnie, I see you had one of your little sweeties at your house. I have pour Emma for a couple more days. It's wonderful to have time with them...even if we answer a bazillion questions...although Emma does ask as many as when she was younger. I love it . I think your Jack is going to be tall if his dad is 6'7" wow. Emma's going to be tall...she and Savannah her cousin (who will be 14 this week) are tall as me already. Their dads are tall also. Blessings to all of you. xoxo,Susie

Our Sunday School kids carried the palm leaves into church on Sunday at the 10:30 service. They are so cute. Jack is adorable.
