On Eagle's Wings

On Eagle's Wings
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

Beneath The Waters

Today was a day we had been looking forward to! Our son was to be baptized!

Gorgeous day! Bright sunshine, cool breezes, less humidity, and nice temperatures for the last day of May.

Sunshine very welcome!

We had front row seats for this occasion and when Jason stepped up to the baptistery, four-year-old Jack hurried up after him to grab hold of Daddy's hand.

The pastor had wonderful things to say about Jason before baptizing him
(Jack is taking it all in).
Amy and Kate then joined them onstage so Pastor could pray over their family.

Just as Pastor Zach opened his mouth to pray,
Jack piped up with, "I thought you were gonna jump in!"

(Snickering heard across the congregation.)

Pastor Zach began his prayer again.

Jack interrupts, "Why didn't you do a cannonball?"

And that's when the pastor lost it!

Another memorable and happy day!

Congratulations to your son! What a wonderful moment for your family. LOVED the commentary--that is the best part. Now---no arguments from me whether you get "sprinkled, dabbed, or dipped! LOL-there is always controversy from some people about how you need to be REALLY baptized. lol xo Diana
