On Eagle's Wings

On Eagle's Wings
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

April Fools!

Yesterday I was mulling over a fun way to show our 4 year old granddaughter about April Fool’s. Thinking about it kind of stopped me in my tracks because I was unable to come up with anything that somehow didn’t sound like I was teaching this sweet little girl to tell a big fib. :0(

Finally, as we headed over to take her home, I tried to explain how April Fool’s day works. Maybe I made it too hard.

“Okay, Kate. When we get to your house, you knock on the door and Grandpa and I will hide by the garage. You tell Mommy that you had to walk all the way home by yourself. Then say: “April Fool’s!”

How corny is that? It bombed, of course.

After we returned home, we called Brady and Noah, to find out what exciting things they had done over the week-end for Easter. They were very subdued with us, which was surprising because they are quite the show-offs when we are on Face Time together. All of a sudden Brady burst out with, “Nonnie and Papa, I fell off my skateboard and broke my arm!”

“Say WHAT???? Oh No!!! What happened???”

This boy has already had a few mishaps with scooters, bikes, etc.
where his face or other body parts met up with the hard pavement.

“April Fools!” Gotcha!!!

What a little stinker and he played that one good. (And thank you, Daddy for putting him up to it causing the two of us heart palpitations!)

Whew!
Sigh of relief from us and laughter all over the place.
Good one, Brady.

Haha! I was "had" several times yesterday. At my age, I still haven't learned, but they surely have!
