On Eagle's Wings

On Eagle's Wings
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

Kate's Visit

Kate came to stay for a few days this week. She has been wanting to come alone and stay for more than just one night.

When her cousins, Brady and Noah were here last, we built a fort for them to sleep in and each time Kate comes over, that is something she wants to do. When she and Jack built a fort, it ended up in a few squabbles and both of them in time out.
Hard to believe these two ever squabble
Sooooo, being alone, she was able to have this little pleasure all to herself. Isn't that how we we are sometimes? Need some alone time.

The fort wouldn't have been that noteworthy, but when I saw how she decorated her little place, I felt I should take a few pics.

Her bed.
Grandpa helped her with the little flower arrangement.
The box has crayons.

Her library

She brought up a framed pic of herself to put in her "bedroom."

Her little friends

We went to the mall yesterday because I had promised last time I saw her that we would go to Build a Bear workshop. Here she is building her bear. We also had a Ninja stuffed animal made for Jack since he didn't get to come along.

Pinky

We had lunch at the mall, shopped around, and rode the carousel.

Pinky rode with Kate, but it was tricky trying to get a good pic of them
since I was on the horse next to her and when I was up, she was down!
Kate lost both her front bottom teeth!

What a special time for a special little girl. Yes, we all need our one-on-one time and being the only girl, this was important for her. Isn't it wonderful to see the individuality in our grands? I just love it!
