On Eagle's Wings

On Eagle's Wings
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

Friday Fun Stuff (for me)

This little army of dogs is ready to roll!

I mentioned in a previous blog that my Bible study group would be making washcloth dogs to pack in our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. It's always fun packing the shoeboxes, but what a cute idea Marie had to add the washcloth puppies as a practical item for the children. To any crafters, this little project would be just that. Little. For me, not a crafter, it was really tricky to make them just right. It also seemed it might have been easier for someone with smaller hands to tie those ribbons and cut out those felt ears and teeny, tiny hearts. But I'm proud to say I stuck with it and they are DONE!!

It seemed fitting to pack them in a shoebox for delivery to Marie!

A surprise overnight stay from Kate and Jack before they left for vacation.

Jack loves chocolate milk and Sweetie!

This crew is having fun without us!!!

Earlier this week, I said I was having trouble with my vision and also my hair.
It's hard getting used to the new glasses because for the past 15 years, my eyes have worked together with the mono vision method (if you want to call it that)! Left eye for close-up and right eye for distance.
Lasik surgery made that happen!
Now, however, I'm not sure the prescription for these glasses are going to be that helpful. I don't quite trust myself driving with these on, so another trip to the eye doctor may be in order.

And my hair!
I said I was going to get it whacked and that's what I did!

I think everything is going to be all right!

First of all your new hair cut is darling. Fits you face so cute. I did the same as you, but not with surgery. I wore one contact lenses and my brain told me which to use. I did that for years. Then something unexpected happened. My eyesight improved with age. So now I use dollar store reading glasses for up close and a pair of prescription only when I drive at night.

The washrag puppies are so cute. We have always done shoe boxes for Samaritan's Purse.

I think my husband has the same thing with his vision. He wears contacts and uses reading glasses ;) Your haircut looks great. I am in need of one but may want to try something different so am still thinking about it. Great idea with the washcloths. It makes something practical so fun.

Aren't those washcloths dogs adorable! The kids will LOVE them. (Maybe the adults too! LOL) Your new hair cut is beautiful! I also just got new glasses and it took me 2-3 days to adjust to them. My last pair of glasses was 5 years ago and my eyes has only changed a very small amount then. (I got new glasses because it had been 7 years BEFORE that for new ones...) But this time around right eye had gotten quite a bit worse...The adjustment was hard! The first day I felt dizzy and nauseous! I called the eye doctor twice! But now I'm good and things are crystal clear again!
