On Eagle's Wings

On Eagle's Wings
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

That "thing"

Have you ever longed for something you wanted so badly you could almost taste it?

or tried to hold on to something that slipped through your fingers

no matter how tightly you held on to it?

That thing you have tried to grasp, but has always eluded you?

In pondering some circumstances I've experienced in my life,

or some "thing" that is missing which has greatly disappointed me,

or some "thing" others have which I don't have.

That "thing" may be the very "thing" that God will use to strengthen me

by His grace to conform me to His image.

I can't see it, but He can.

See the lack ...

see the disappointment ...

as maybe a gift instead of a withholding from God.

Nonnie, As a child , I would pray for things such as clothes, food(sometimes) , I know that is why God sent me a guardian angel. This lady started taking me to church, treating my family so kindly. I miss that beautiful Lady. She taught me so much in my life. I would love to hug her once more. I know that she will know me, when my time comes. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

Well, you know that I love this post, Nonnie. I think we all go through those feelings at certain times of our life--wanting and not getting and wondering and hoping----but, in the end, it is all in His hands and what is meant ot be-is meant to be! xo Diana

We all need to be careful what we pray for and about. In the end when we look back we can see where Someone else's hand was in control, thank God!

It takes real wisdom and maturity to know the difference, doesn't it? And I find it has nothing to do with our age. ((HUGS))
